Reflections on the Trip--Abi

1. What was the most interesting or educational of the sites we visited and why? Palo Duro Canyon because the colors seemed more like a painted desert than the actual Painted Desert. It was really pretty to go through and see everything.
2. What was the least interesting site we visited and why? I didn’t think anything was “least interesting”. I liked it all.
3. The thing about this trip I’ll never forget is being able to do something that not everyone gets a chance to do.
4. Everyday I looked forward to everything we were going to do that day.
5. I got tired of packing the van and U-Haul.
6. It was a “bummer” when we had to get in the vans for an hour because of lightning.
7. A “pleasant surprise” was the snow at the North Rim.
8. If you could go back to a site on this trip THIS summer and show it to your family, where would it be and why? Palo Duro because I think my family would enjoy the horseback riding, being able to see how neat it was, and being able to see the Texas play.
9. What did you pack or bring that you did not need at all – should’a left at home? Black t-shirt
10. What did you NOT bring, but wish you had? Warmer clothes
11. What about this trip would you change (considering only realistic, reasonable changes)? Instead of staying at Palo Duro campground stay at the KOA the whole time—and stay at KOAs more often because they are so nice.
12. What part of this trip should NEVER change? The whole experience and being able to work together to get everything done quickly.
