We slept outside under the stars at Bonito Campground at the base of Sunset Crater. There was volcanic rock all over the campground. We climbed Lennox Crater. It was easy to get up, but we came down at the wrong spot, and we had to walk a longer route back to the cars.
We went to Walnut Canyon and took the island hike. We looked at the cliff dweller’s houses. It would be hard to live there. After that we went to Meteor Crater. It was amazing. It was so windy that I could lean over with the wind holding me up.
